Hot
water temperatures can be reduced The Orca system is effective at any temperature. Traditionally, in an attempt to control Legionella, the hot water temperature needed to be minimum 50°C within 1 minute of turning on each tap. This is not only difficult to realise in practice, because not all taps are used regularly, but also energy consuming because calorifiers need to be able to deliver water at a temperature of at least 60°C. Controlling Legionella with the Orca system does not require elevated hot water temperatures. Short film on how the Orca system works |
