"Controlling Legionella in a hot water system by just keeping the temperature at 60°C is not enough. We had a history of Legionella contamination and attempted to solve it by modifying pipe work to take out deadlegs, by hyper-chlorinating, and by operating the hot water system at 83°C, however, Legionella species were still found.

Within a couple of weeks of installing the Orca System no more Legionella was detected."
